- I have attended
this conference for many years. It is always the best conference that I attend
each year. The networking of high school and IUPUI psychology teachers is an
invaluable resource. This conference will assist every teacher (young or
old) to do a better job in the classroom. Joe Stucker (Brownsburg High School)
- This was a great
day of learning for me. Since I have only been teaching a short time, it was
very helpful for me to be able to network with other teachers. I enjoyed
hearing new lesson plan ideas and hope to have may own class to use them in
soon. Betsy Donaldson (West Noble High School)
- This is one of
the best days out of school that I spend each year. I always look forward to
the conference. It helps to know that there are others who struggle with the
same things I do. As always, very valuable demonstrations that I can use right
away in the classroom. Joe Leonard (Southport High School)
- Teacher
demonstrations were great. All were very user-friendly and easily adaptable
into any psychology classroom. It is also great to be able to talk with other
Psychology teachers about their experiences. I’ll be back next year. Mike
Martynowicz (Huntington High School)
- This is a “must
attend” conference! Mary Jane Smith (Warren Central High School)
- This was a great
experience! It is valuable to find out what other psych teachers are doing. I
will return next year. Sarah Wilson (West Noble High School)
- I always feel
energized after coming to this conference. I love to hear what other psychology
teachers are doing. I really enjoy the guest speakers. I have used information
from their presentations in my own classroom. Cynthia Cullom (Center Grove High
School)
- It is wonderful
to be reaffirmed of the ideas that I use in my class and to obtain new and
exciting ideas from very enthusiastic teachers. I can’t wait to get to certain
sections in my course to implement the new techniques that I learned today. The
conference gives me a nice motivation boost to help me finish the last two
months of the school year on a positive note. Brian Miller (Warren Central High
School)
- Once again, this
conference has provided me with ready to use lesson plans that have been tried
and proven, networking opportunities, and updated research. I will continue to
attend this conference for many years to come!!! Courtney Cabrera (Brown County
High School)
- Great day! Glad I
came! Kristin Marr (Fishers High School)
- The beginning
introduction that allowed us to not only give a brief background of ourselves,
but also to tell what we were interested in getting out of the conference was a
GREAT IDEA!! Steven Reeder (Monrovia High School)
- This is always a
great conference and a highlight of my year. Phil Leswing (Greenfield Central
High School)
- This conference
is great. The opportunity to talk and share experiences with other psychology
teachers is invaluable. I really appreciate this opportunity. Pete O’Hara
(Carmel High School)
- I love attending
this conference. It is well organized and very beneficial. Although it is a bit
of a drive, it is well-worth it! Barbara Loverich (Hobart High School)
- I really enjoy
being “taught” by an on-campus instructor (Jesse Stewart). Learning what other
schools in the state are doing in their psychology classrooms is helpful to
providing consistency (i.e., students enter college with similar “psychology”
background). Robin Pletcher (Carmel High School)
- I’ve really
gotten a lot from today. I plan to spend this weekend redoing the lessons I’ll
be doing in a week or two. I’m going to spend time this summer reorganizing the
entire year. Thanks! Jason Gilman (Anderson High School)
- I really enjoyed
the opportunity to become more familiar with IUPUI and specifically their
Psychology Department. It was valuable to spend time with other psychology
teachers in a smaller setting that promoted discussion and sharing ideas. I
also enjoyed the speakers such as Dr. Stewart. I look forward to sharing recent
research completed by a professor at IUPUI with my students that applies to
their lives. The conference was recommended to me, and I was not disappointed.
Dawn Crone (Brownsburg High School)
- There are so few
resources for psychology teachers that this conference was greatly appreciated.
It provides a nice relaxing atmosphere in which to take advantage of a
professional development opportunity. Cassandra Schibley (Pike High School)
